I call them a typical dark horse side, much like New Zealand, i was always a Carl Hooper(WI) fan.

161 Km/h btw: nice series win for England earlier today. I knew they would win if they bat first...Aussies seem to drop when under too much pressure...Collingwood, another amazing match!!

i suprised me. i didnt even watch it, i just saw some retard in an england shirt and a trophy on the news this morning and thaught "damn, England arent good enough to win twice in a row, are they!?!?"

lets not take credit away from England, but we all have to understand that this Australian team IS downgraded a bit...i still believe they would be strong competitors for the 2007 World Cup, but not as much as they would have thought, eventhough all that, England did infact play well, and did deserve to win that series. Now we need New Zealand to beat Australia, and we need to beat Pakistan tomorrow to top the ODI world rankings...would it happen...i doubt it.

it may happen, pakistan arent hard to beat, thats why they always resort to cheating. and with australia on poor form it could very well happen. ill give it 5-1 odds.

yeah, it's quite funny! all the scandals among ball tampering/match fixing always lies with Pakistan and India. (let's not think back, 2000: hansie cronje, gibbs, boje & williams)

I cannot remeber the fat guy's name either, but he bowled spin i think, for RSA. What exactly were the tribal jig? The funniest thing ive seen in cricket...The Dean Jones/hashim amla incident.

Ok, right...South Africa won the ODI Series 3-1 after a 9-wicket win at the Wanderers. Sri-lanka is fighting their way back against India.

haha, indeed. but it's in my opinion not too good, as I know our team, we would probably choke as in all worldcups and because we're #1, we would probably hold back but the bottom line, Australia would have beaten NZ if they played their best team AND Australia will NOT drop the worldcup.

i dont know, Brett Lee is out. its a shame 2006 was his breakout year, before then he was 12th man for....... a record..........15 times in a row?. they still have Kasper, but he's more of a test cricketer.
I'm gonna back the West Indies to win it again.

wow, calling for W'Indies to win the WC is a big call, hey. look, i wouldn't be too surprised if they take it...home advantage and everything, and their such a unpredictable team, but I reckon the w'indies era is over. Brett Lee, big loss, this will certainly dip Aussies, mentally mostely otherwise Stuart Clarke is pretty decend.
Did Geriant Jones make the ENG WC Squad ? or did they stick with Chris Read and "Nixon" ?

tbh i don't know. the selection team are stoopid because it gets changed all the time, at first everyone cried because panesar was left out and now i think that darren gough is in. if it were me id put in gerraint jones, simon too.

How about James Anderson, is he in the squad, I remeber him being an awesome bowler when RSA toured ENG in 2003, he swung the ball quite nicely, and had nice seam movement. What is he like now-a-days?

nah anderssons gone now, he got injured sometime and never made it back in. he's still a nice player but england are obsessed with youth now and someone like andersson is old news. i'd like to see him back in but he never gets mentioned anymore.

mmm, reminds me of Neil Mckenzie who played for RSA, in the 2003 WC aswell...he's playing so well, got a first class avg. of 45+ but doesnt get selected for some reason. He now captains he's provincial team.

goughy's captian of yorkshire again for some reason! lol. he's like 40, they made a massive announcement about it aswell, all over the news. but thinking about it nixon is pretty old he was aroung when alex stuart was in, i guess age rules dont apply for wicketkeapers same as goalkeepers in soccer.
