Samoa Joe's Final ROH Appearance on U.S Soil
Pre-Show:
- Shane Haggadorn beat Mitch Franklin to retain the ROH Top of the Class Trophy
- Pelle Primeau won a Six Man Mayhem match involving five other students from Ring of Honor.
Main show:
- Brent Albright beat Claudio Castagnoli. Solid opener. Albright is looking good. He won after a half nelson suplex.
- Allison Danger & Sara Del Ray beat MsChief & Serena. Danger looked great in this, but none of the four looked weak at all. Finish saw Del Ray pin Serena.
- Matt Cross beat Shingo, CJ Otis, and Trik Davis in a Four Corner Survival match. This was great. Cross got over huge from the match. Post match, Austin Aries came out and offered Cross a spot in his tag match later in the night against Roderick Strong and Davey Richards. Cross accepted. Strong and Richards then attacked them until Delirious hit the ring and made the save. Really good.
- Jimmy Rave beat BJ Whitmer
- Jay & Mark Briscoe beat Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal to win the ROH World Tag Team Titles. This was awesome. Full of spots, and both teams bringing their “A Game".
- Austin Aries & Matt Cross beat Roderick Strong & Davey Richards. Another good match. Aries pinned Richards after the 450 splash.
- Colt Cabana beat Jimmy Jacobs in a “Windy City Deathmatch". This was great. Tons of blood all over. Finish came with Colt hitting his finisher on both Jacobs and Lacey then making the pin. Insane spot mid-match with Jacobs hitting a Senton off a ladder to Cabana who was setup on a table outside the ring.
- ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima & Nigel McGuinness beat Samoa Joe & Homicide at what must have been close to 25 minutes. Joe was over huge as you’d expect, and the reception he got was the loudest I’ve ever heard. McGuinness got the win, pinning Joe after a lariat.
Joe cut a promo after the match thanking the fans, as just about everybody on the roster came to the ring. Really emotional!
