Now that the long awaited PS3 is out did anyone actually buy it or does anyone plan to soon? I personally am going to wait til next year. Hopefully by then the $ will be down 100$ and SVR2008 will be on it by then too.

^^No down 100$ in a year. Like if the price is 499$ right now for it to go down a 100$ a year it would be 399$ next year. Thats what I mean. Even though it will probaly not go down to 399$ in just one. In 2 years it will be 399$ im sure.

I am sure that the price of it will drop more than 100 dollars by next year. The price is currently 660$ By next year, I hope this shoots down to 399$. It took about that long for the PS2 to lower to that and I think it will follow the same phase.

all those who are buying X box 360 are nothing but compromising........ and hence never will be satisfied...
no matter PS3 is costly than X box 360..... but it will give you a money back satisfaction for sure.....

Now that the long awaited PS3 is out ..... haha, it only came out like 3 week ago in uk. ive been playing 360 for about a year, i think ill stick with it too, im quite impressed thus far. |

I have all 3 new gens. I play the 360 all the time. PS3 is probably the same as 360. Maybe not that good as 360 tho.

The PS3 sales in the UK sucked. The extreme delay did NOT help and neither did the freakishly large price tag!!
but within a year the price dropped, they gave away free games and blu-rays and then, like a bunch of retards decided to REDUCE the hard-drive capacity to 40GB (instead of 60GB) and stop back-wards-compatibility with the PS1 and PS2 games!!
The PS3 price still needs reducing IMO or the hard-drives capacity increased at least. At the moment the PS3 costs £289.99/£299.99 with 1 game in the U.K. whilst the XBOX 360 costs £179.99 for 20GB plus THREE games or £249.99 for the Elite 120GB Hard-drive.
Sony need to sort themselves out a bit.
