Hello everyone and welcome.
I've given myself the time to share my thoughts on WWE at this time.
Last week was a non-stop rollercoaster towards the annual PPV known as Unforigven, where three championship scrambles were held.
Monday Night Raw, flawless. A returning Mysterio was exactly what they needed to continue the feud between him and Kane.
ECW was once again a great show where we saw superstars who were formerly in the developmental areas step up to the plate once again. Ricky Ortiz and Evan Bourne are two gifted guys and great aqqusitions (my apology for spelling) to the ECW brand.
Smackdown was brilliant once again, we almost saw a fight between Big Show and Vladmir but it wasn't to be with an interefering GM.
The lumberjack match was great also between Trips and Khali, giving the champ huge momentum going into Unforgiven.
And now Unforgiven. What a night.
Matt Hardy, after being screwed not once but twice out of winning the title last month, finally won the ECW's richest prize. He fought hard and whilst he was at that time the interim champ he was breaking pinfalls up left right and centre holding onto the title long enough to eventually emerge victorious.
WWE Championship scramble was excellent. The match belonged to Jeff. One second and we would've saw a new champion, but at literally the very last second Triple H had scored the pinfall to retain. A brilliant show of respect between the Unique Enigma and The Game at the end of it all.
Shawn Micheals vs Chris Jericho was brutal. I loved it. The highlight of the match had to be when he performed the elbow drop through not one, but 2 bodies through the announce table, leaving Jericho and Cade beaten senseless. The match came to an end when Micheals wouldn't stop hitting Jericho with his belt when he mounted him UFC style and continued to assault him. I don't get that bit why stop the match which is basically an anything goes match? Glad the ref tasted Micheals boot with sweet chin music.
After being took out by the tag team champs Rhodes and Dibiase, Hanu who is a member of the huge samoa wrestling family and Randy Orton backstage, CM Punk was rendered unable to compete to defend his title in the Raw scramble, so the fifth entrant in the scramble was....
Chris Jericho.
A hard fought battle between four of raws finest, and when we thought Batista would've won it, Jericho picked up the pieces and covered an already beaten Kane, who was previously pinned by Batista, and thus winning the title.
What the hell? Punk isn't injured, so why take the belt away from a guy who isn't injured? I mean yeah they're trying to sell his attack from earlier on in the night, but Punk should've still went out there and defended the gold, hes a fighting champion, and it would've showed just how tough he is.
But...
I've come to realise something.
Theres a reason why we see the likes of Jericho, Dibiase and Rhodes, Benjamin and others hold the titles.
Its almost like something out of a comic book. Good vs Evil. The good, take for example CM Punk is our spider-man, and Jericho is the king pin. He wants it all, and Punk is going to do anything he can to make sure it doesn't happen. But it did. So we end up cheering for the good guy to win everything back.
