Hell In A Cell was simply amazing.
At the 21st annual event, the blockbuster of the summer, SummerSlam, for the first time ever at that event we saw Hell In A Cell, 10 years after the now infamous Hell In A Cell between The Undertaker and Mick Foley.
This match was everything I expected.
Edge brought his A-Game for that match you could definetly see it, without a doubt truly impressive, but The Undertaker continues to impress with his dominance in the ring.
Edge threw everything he had at The Undertaker, a spear through the side of the cell which split Taker's arm open, and then another spear through the announce table, and not long after that we saw shades of the last cell match between Taker and Batista when Edge used that camera against The Deadman, but that wasn't enough to take him down. Afterwards we saw Taker do something we've never seen him do before, and that was the con-chair-to on The Rated-R Superstar, which cut Edge's back. Edge, slowly gained momentum, but that wasn't enough to silence The Phenom. All it took, was the move that has won him 6 World Titles, and made him 16-0 at Wrestlemania to defeat The Rated-R Superstar, the tombstone piledriver.
The night, however, wasn't over for Edge or The Undertaker. After The Undertaker made his way to the back, he glanced up at the titantron to see a squirming Edge, he then made his way back to the ring, put Edge on the ladder, then set-up another one, and litterally chokeslammed Edge to hell. We then saw flames engulf the spot where Edge had fallen through.
Match of the year for sure, topped every match-up these 2 have been through.
Highlights of the match:
Undertaker pulling snake eyes off on Edge on the steel steps in the corner
Edge spearing The Undertaker through the cell wall, then spearing him through the announce table
The chokeslame through 2 tables on the outside of the ring on Edge from the turnbuckle
And of course the chokeslame from the ladder on Edge courtesy of The Demon Of Death Valley.
The ECW Legend Tazz and WWE Hall Of Famer Good 'Ole J.R. make a hell of an announce team, I hope we see these 2 kept together, because they are flawless as the commentators for the blue brand.
The Rated-R Superstar's wife Vickie, her nephew Chavo, his bodyguard Bam Neely and Edge's former buddies Hawkins and Ryder looked on backstage, and were happy to see Edge litterally get put through hell, and pay for his sins, even cheering The Deadman, and applauding him.
In my opinion, the greatest hell in a cell match ever. Both men put it all on the line, both put on an incredible match. This truly was hell in a cell.
