So I have just got home (a few hours ago really) and I had opened up my brand new Mario Kart box.
The menus are set out pretty much the same as DD for GameCube. You select a save file using your Mii (who, later becomes a playable character) and then you are given your choices of games.
Being a Mario Kart fanatic, I dove straight into the "Grand Prix" mode.
All the new (16) tracks look amazing and challenging aswell as fun.
This game includes, for the first time, the abillity to ride a motorbike. You can only ride them in 100cc (Bikes only) and 150cc (spoiler left out) which is a mixture of Bikes and Karts. 50cc is Karts only.
As always, you must complete the first two cups from both the new and retro tracks, to unlock the extra cups and racers.
I first went for 50cc as to just have a taste of the new controller system. I will not say anything about tracks etc as it is much better seeing them yourselves when you play, but look at the new version of Rainbow Road.... WOW.
I have completed the first 4 cups and unlocked one extra racer.
These racers are unlocked by completeing various tasks through the game such as winning cups, online play and time trials.
I am loving the first outing for Mario Kart on Wii and I am sure that I will be playing it a LOT!
MARIO WINS!!!!!
