Ubisoft has announced that its forthcoming sequel to 2006 game Red Steel will utilise Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus device.
As one of the first publishers to support the add-on, Ubisoft said Red Steel 2 will use it to provide gamers with "accurate 3D motions" that were first attempted in the original.
Executive director Alan Corre told GamesIndustry: "Red Steel 2 has been in development for many months now, and this new device will help us be even more precise in what we do with the product."
Corre said the Wii MotionPlus, which claims to offer true 1:1 response, will allow the game to better mimic users' movements during gunplay and hand-to-hand combat.
The original Red Steel, which aimed to offer gamers a first-person experience of using the Wii Remote as a 'weapon in their hand', was slated by critics for being too unresponsive.

i thought Red Steel was well made. The game play was almost spot-on. They probably just kept getting killed so they complained about it being unresponsive
