The Sun in the U.K. reported an "EXCLUSIVE" that Manchester United have OFFICIALLY placed a £20m bid for Tottenhams Berbatov.
I have read this on skysports.com
"Fresh reports in Saturday's press claimed that the Premier League and UEFA Champions League holders had offered £20million for the Bulgaria international.
Speaking of the rumours linking the Red Devils with a bid for Berbatov, the forward's agent has claimed United are monitoring his situation at Spurs."
Not once does it mention that it was confirmed by any party. berbatov's agent had this to say (again from skysports.com)
"I know for certain Manchester United have shown interest in signing Dimitar Berbatov," agent Emil Danchev told Bulgaria's Darik radio. "But I'm not entitled to make any more comments."
So are newspapers allowed to lie if they don't have an exclusive?
What else have they made up in the past?
They lie/stretch the truth because they have to make a story out of nothing just to increase sales of their paper.
I for one, am NEVER buying a paper ever again.
