Reports from Sky Sports are claiming that Pompey have been given permission to speak to Peter Crouch about a possible move this summer.
Not only would this be a great move for Crouch, with the promise of first-team football but it could also be good for England as crouch would be playing more often than at Anfield.
Earlier reports suggested that Liverpool turned down an offer of around £9m for the 27-year-old striker so this new bid must be around the £12m mark.
UPDATE: Peter Crouch is now officially a Pompey player, congratulations and good luck (except when you play against Manchester United). The fee is around £11m so I wasn't far off.
