HERALD EXCLUSIVE: Update on Jarrett, booking plans and more
Posted on Jun 26 2008 @ 3:36pm by Chris Johnson
I am told that Moose, aka Mickie Knuckles, has not signed a contract with TNA just yet but will soon.
Since there were three editions of iMPACT! left until the Victory Road PPV, TNA decided to tape things a bit out of order this week. All three shows were taped in 3 days so some things may not air as websites are reporting.
The TNA video game is currently on pace to make it's target release date on early September. I am told that unless something major happens no more delays are expected. The final game roster should be announced at E3 in July.
As Dave Meltzer has stated, TNA has their top feuds planned out months in advance and know what their PPV main events will be pretty much all the way up until October. This is vastly different when compared to WWE where things are always changing from week to week.
The long delayed Jeff Jarrett DVD is still on hold until Jarrett makes his return. The DVD has been completed and was due to be released last August but was pulled from the release schedule when Jeff left TV due to his wife's death. No date is set for Jeff's return at this time but I was told that it will most likely be before 2008 is over.
Finally I am being told, as Meltzer reports, that Samoa Joe vs Kevin Nash will most likely main event the September No Surrender PPV. Most people thought it would headline TNA's big show Bound for Glory but I was told that TNA knows they need a really good match for that show and no one really knows how Joe vs Nash is going to come across once it happens. Opponents currently being disscussed for Joe after Nash include Rhino as a heel and Tomko is he gets his attitude in check. I was also told that a Joe vs Styles vs Angle or Christian match has been talked about as well.".....
