This week for that's my story and I'm sticking to it I'll be telling you what I think of the wrestlers recently released from the WWE.
Sylvester Turkey probably could have had some success if he was given a chance to be an established wrestler on Smackdown or ECW. Elijah Burke could have helped with the mic work for Turkey and it might have helped Turkey become an established wrestler but Turkey and Burke went to ECW before Turkey really had a chance to become an established wrestler. When Turkey was in ECW he only made a few appearances and he only wrestled a few matches. Turkey was an MMA fighter and wrestled in Japan but even if he had a chance to become an established wrestler I think he would only have minimal success in the WWE.
CW Anderson is a good wrestler and he was injured but I think if he was given a chance he could have had a successful run in the new ECW. CW Anderson only made a few T.V. appearances and he wasn't really give a chance to show his wrestling ability. CW Anderson and Tommy Dreamer were involved in a great match at the original ECW's last PPV and I think an Anderson/Dreamer feud could have been a good feud.
Jazz is another ECW original that wasn't give a chance in the new ECW but I think Jazz could have really helped the Women's division on Raw because Mickie James and Victoria are the only women wrestlers left on Raw that have wrestling ability.
Tony Mamaluke has alot of wrestling skill and the FBI was a good tag team but the FBI wasn't given a chance to become an established team in the new ECW. The FBI were the tag team champions in the original ECW and they were a jobber tag team in the new ECW.
The Bashams were two time WWE tag team champions but after only being Paul Heyman's security it doesn't seem like they were going to have another title anyway and it doesn't seem like they were going to help the tag team division so their release won't really effect on the tag team divisions in the WWE.
Al Snow was released as a wrestler but will still be a trainer which is probably how he can help the WWE and the future stars of the WWE. Al Snow has alot of wrestling skill and he had a unique gimmick. I think Al Snow could have had a better run in the WWE and possibly and IC title run if the WWE had give him a push to become more of a star. When Al Snow was the trainer for Tough Enough many people knew who Al Snow was and it would have made sense for the WWE to give him a push but he was just a mid carder.
Gangrel had a successful run in the late 90's but even when he was resigned with the WWE he still only wrestled in the WWE's developmental territory. If Gangerl still had some wrestling ability he could have reformed the Brood with Kevin Thorn and Aerial but his release doesn't really effect the WWE.
Overall these releases probably won't have an impact on the WWE but I think some of the ECW originals that were released could have helped the new ECW.
Until next week
