This week for That's my story and I'm sticking to it I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at New Year's Revolution.
The Carlito v.s. Chris Masters match should be a good match and I think Carlito will win the match. Carlito is entertaining and he deserves a push because he has the charisma, mic skills, and in ring ability to become a main event wrestler. It doesn't seem like Chris Masters will be getting a push and I don't think he has the wrestling skill to be a top star on Raw or the other two brands. The master lock was broken during The Tribute to the Troops show and that has been Master's gimmick since his debut in the WWE. I think when the WWE had someone break the master lock that made it obvious that Masters isn't going to get a push. It's been reported on some internet sites that Masters might be heading to ECW sometime in the future and if he does I don't think it will make a difference for the ECW T.V. show. ECW has become some what of a place for the wrestlers that aren't good enough for Raw or Smackdown. Test, Matt Striker, and even the ECW champion Bobby Lashly are wrestlers that weren't doing much on Raw or Smackdown so they went to ECW.
The Ric Flair/Kenny Dykstra match should be an entertaining match and I think Dykstra will win the match. The WWE is trying to get Dykstra over with the crowd and Dykstra defeating Flair could help give Dykstra a push. Flair is a legend and at this point in his career he doesn't have anything left to prove so Flair losing a match to help try to get a young wrestler over won't damage Flair's career. It seems like Dykstra might have some potential but his challenge might be getting past the Spirit Squad gimmick and becoming a heel that gets a crowd reaction during his matches.
The Women's title match should be a good match and I think Victoria will win the title. Mickie James and Victoria are the only women wrestlers that can actually wrestle left in the WWE so I think the WWE will try to have the feud continue for a few months so that there's competition in the Women's division. The storyline has Victoria attacking the women wrestlers on Raw and I think WWE will have the storyline continue with Mickie James chasing the title and then winning the title in a few months at a PPV.
The IC title match should be a good match and I think Nitro will win the title. Hardy has had a solid run as the IC champion since his return to the WWE a few months ago and it's possible the Hardy Boyz could reunite as a tag team on Raw. If the Hardys are going to reunite as a team it would make more sense for Nitro to win the IC title because with Mercury injured from the ladder shot at Armageddon it will be a few months before a possible MNM reunion. If the Hardys reunite as a tag team I think it could really help improve the tag team division on Raw and it would be cool to see a Hardys/The World's Greatest Tag Team feud for the tag team titles.
The DX/Team Rated RKO feud has probably been going on for too many months and I think DX will win the match because Team Rated RKO attacked DX a few weeks ago. If DX wins the tag team titles it will be interesting to see what teams they defend the titles against and how many months they are the tag team champions.
The main event might be an okay match and I don't think it will be a thirty minute classic. The WWE has been pushing Umaga as an undefeated monster but I think most of the fans think the gimmick is ridiculous and I think John Cena will retain the title. The storyline in general is ridiculous because Kevin Federline defeated the WWE champion. This could be the WWE trying to get the crowd to cheer Cena because some people might boo Cena but everybody is going to boo Federline. It actually makes the WWE seem like somewhat of a joke because Federline pinned the champion and usually the champion is considered the top star in the WWE.
Overall I think New Year's Revolution will be a good PPV.
Until next week
