Jim Ross wrote in his latest blog update that Barry Windham is expected to join WWE as a "producer/coach type person."
The addition of Windham, a former NWA Heavyweight Champion and WWF Tag Champion, to the WWE staff had been a subject of discussion for several months.
The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter noted last spring that there was some opposition to his coming aboard to fill the agent spot left vacant by Bob Orton's departure, but it seems those in favor of Windham's signing eventually prevailed.
