Hello everyone and welcome.
I'm thinking of starting something in this thread called Your Thoughts on the week of WWE now and then.
I want to know your thoughts and views on the past week in WWE, and what the outcome might possibly be the following Raw, Smackdown! and ECW.
I'll start off with Raw.
This past week we saw Kane, in what might be a heel turn for him. He was muttering the words, well more like yelling the words, 'Is he alive or dead?' and proceeded to attack Micheal Cole before Jerry 'The King' Lawler made the save, and Kane turned his intentions on attacking Jerry.
What are your views on this situation? Who is Kane talking about? Is he now a heel?
First off he could be talking about his brother, The Undertaker. It could possibly be a hint towards a gimmick, resurrected if you will, with 'Taker returning to Raw with his American Badass gimmick.
The next possiblity could be Vince McMahon. Over the years, The Brothers Of Destruction caused chaos, and mind games with their opponents. But we saw WWE go in a very familiar direction at the end of the 2008 WWE Draft, where a sign fell on Mr McMahon, and the stage beneath him collapsing. Could this be the work of Kane, being angered at the fact that Vince just let 'Taker be 'banished', and decided to take matters into his own hands by sending a message to the WWE?
Our next man, is someone who we last saw at The Great American Bash 2004.
It was The Undertaker vs The Dudley Boys, with Paul Heyman in control of The Deadman, and also in control of Paul Bearer when he was encased in a glass box, and a cement truck that would pour cement on him. If The Undertaker disobeyed Paul Heyman, we would see the cement be poured down on Paul. But if The Undertaker lay down for The Dudleys to get the win, he would be set free. The Undertaker chose not to be Paul's puppet, and won the match. We then saw 'Taker preventing Paul Heyman from pouring cement, but in a bizarre turn of events, we saw The Undertaker proceed to encase his manager in cement (In reality it was a way of writing him off telly due to surgery). Could Kane be talking about his father, Paul Bearer? Is he wondering if he is still alive or is he dead?
Our next possible and last candidate, is, none other than Kane.
We saw his mask removed after a match in2002 against The King Of Kings, The Game, and current WWE Champion Triple H, when he put his title on the line against Kane's mask. In 2006 we saw bizarre events happening. May 19th is what we heard. It was the date Kane's parents died in the fire. It haunted Kane badly. He faced an imposter Kane, (Current WWE Star Festus) who wore Kane's mask and his old attire. Could this be leading to a resurrection of his old attire, and his mask?
Moving on to ECW.
We saw the debut of Braden Walker, real name Chris Harris and former TNA Star. He debuted against Armando Estrada who hasn't had the best of luck ever since Teddy Long made his presence known as the ECW General Manager. Braden won his debut match on ECW. I ask you, what are your thoughts on ECW's new asset. will he go on to win gold in WWE, much like Kofi Kingston and CM Punk? In my opinion, yes, he will one day. WWE are huge on giving some of the younger talent WWE Belts right now, apart from HHH, Mark Henry and Matt Hardy, the current champions are superstars some of us didn't expect to be holding gold at the current time. (Bar Mickie James as she has held the Womens Title in the past).
Also, what are peoples thoughts on the ECW tag team division? Do you think that, when given another chance, Finlay and Hornswoggle will rise up and take the oppurtunity? Or do you think a younger tag team will debut and beat Miz and Morrison for the tag titles?
We now go on to our main event, where The Heart and Soul of ECW Tommy Dreamer went toe-to-toe with the current reigning ECW Champion, The Worlds Strongest Man, Mark Henry, which the ref eventually stopped when we saw Mark Henry slam Tommy Dreamer on the outside of the ring. I ask you, what do you think this will lead up to? Will Tommy Dreamer once again hold the ECW Championship? Or will a new contender step up to the challenge?
Now I realise that smackdown! hasn't aired yet. I know that taping spoilers are released on most wrestling sites weekly, I check them weekly, but wouldn't want to give away what happens.
I ask you this. After the way Smackdown! ended last week with Edge calling the wedding off to Vickie, what will happen to the couple? Will they get back together and set a new date in the future? Or is there relationship over for good? Also as many of us know, we expected The Undertaker to return at the wedding and ruin it for the couple. If he isn't involved in the situation on Raw, what will the future hold for him? Will he return to smackdown! and if they reuinite, make Vickie and Edge's lives a living hell? Or will he set his sites on Raw, and on the World Heavyweight Championship?
Thats all I have to say for now I look forward to your responses.
Stay safe peeps
