A popular wrestler from Detroit, Ricky “Crusher” Cortez, passed away on Sunday, June 29, as result of a heart attack, as reported on 1Wrestling.com July 1. The 83-year-old Cortez was best known for his match against Bruno Sammartino in the 1960s at Detroit’s Olympia Stadium.
